The Private Pilot Certificate is the first step in becoming a pilot and allows the pilot to fly an airplane by themself or with friends and family to share the magical experience above the ground.

An Instrument Rating allows pilots to fly an airplane purely by using advanced navigational aids such as VOR, ILS and GPS and allows pilots to fly when the weather is not sufficient to fly purely by visual flight rules (VFR). A Commercial Certificate allows a pilot to get paid (under certain conditions) to do the best job in the world.
